  • Learning from the Best Faculty – Industry Leaders, CHROs, Subject Experts

I’ve worked with both high-energy professors and teachers who believe in the value of silence. Instructors that succeed in their professions as educators have their own distinct methods of engagement. On Wednesdays, my Marketing professor would put us to the test with tests on recent Brand Equity content and comprehensive critique of our class presentations. My Finance lecturer had a great sense of humor and brought lively conversations to the class, which piqued my interest in learning more about each topic. My OB professor made certain that each topic was vigorously debated until each student had an opportunity to vent. And I had a great time in each of their sessions.

Learning from the Best Faculty - Industry Leaders, CHROs, Subject Experts

In class at SOIL, we practice ‘Reflection.’ Reflecting allows us to analyze what we do and why we do it in a constructive way, and then decide whether there is a better or more efficient method to perform the same thing in the future. As a result, self-reflection is a crucial aspect of SOIL’s learning and transformation process. One such event was the Inspired Leadership Conference (ILC), an annual event hosted by SOIL, that allows our students and future leaders to network with outstanding individuals from diverse sectors. Gurucharan Das (Author, Thought Leader), Bhaskar Bhatt (Managing Director, Titan Industries), Laura Kohler (Senior Vice President, Kohler Co.), Harsh Mariwala (Chairman, Marico Industries), Anshu Gupta (Founder, Goonj), Rahul Khosla (Senior Vice President, Kohler Co.), Harsh Mariwala (Chairman, Marico Industries), Harsh Mariwala (Chairman (President, Max Group) were some of the leaders in previous leadership conferences. This year’s conference also featured leading industrialists and lecturers for an insightful session.

According to the curriculum, we continued to study and experience the CTC, which consists of a series of immersions with corporate gurus and executives as well as work on real-world projects. The CTC brings more than 20 industry experts to campus to participate in case studies, simulations, and informative guest lectures, giving students a unique opportunity to learn about and collaborate with the industry while also offering an appropriate platform to build industry networks. Some big leaders like Uday Baldota(CEO, Taro Pharmaceutical Industries), Anjali Raina(Executive Director, Harvard Business School), Ashraf Patel(Co-Founder of Parvah and ComMunity), Anantha Radhakrishna(CEO & MD, Infosys BPM), Anil Sardana(MD, Adani Group), and Nadir Godrej(MD, Godrej industries) were some of the inspired leaders who participated in the CTC. This helped us in gaining a better perspective of the end-to-end working of organizations.

It’s only logical that some of the best students get into SOIL, given the quality of the program and its business applicability, as well as the rigorous admission standards. For me, this is a significant advantage of studying at SOIL. Every day is different, with lots of connection, learning, and participation. Industry professionals are frequently asked to serve as student mentors, and the SOIL Mentorship program helps students find their way to success.

The experiential learning modality is prioritized by SOIL. SOIL takes a process-oriented approach, which means you’ll be put in circumstances where you’ll have to process your information, abilities, and attitudes via personal engagement. Through active participation, you will be able to process knowledge, skills, and/or attitudes in a learning setting on a cognitive, emotional, and behavioral level. This is a departure from the traditional approach to learning, which is followed by the majority of the most popular MBA programs.
